MRP Add-On Utility

Accurately forecast your inventory and prevent part buildup or missed deadlines due to not having the correct items on hand.

As supplies fall to an insufficient amount a Pending Job is automatically created to fill the demand. The Jobs created, from a template, ensures that the needed materials are available well before existing Sales Orders’ promised dates. The Pending Jobs take into consideration the reorder point and all live Sales Orders in the database to meet the entire shop’s needs. The Jobs populate in the material planning functions within JobBOSS. Every time the utility is run, all Pending Jobs are removed, thus allowing for changes in the Sales Order due dates.

Process

1. Enter start and end dates, and click button to process
2. Prompted to delete pending jobs by the utility, or delete and make new Pending Jobs
3. If needed, use Material Planning Report to see the interaction of jobs to Sales Orders and material requirements

MRP streamlines an otherwise very manual & tedious process. Without the MRP Add-On shops typically go through the following steps daily.

1. Print out the entire Material Planning Report
2. Walkthrough to determine the amount of jobs that need to be created
3. Calculate and determine which parts and how many of that part needs to be made along with due dates
4. Create jobs

Tips

• Customer can then copy the Pending Job into a Regular Job. All Pending Jobs are deleted the next time the utility is run.
• Material Planning Screen shows material needed to make Pending Jobs. Shows you what material you are going to need given the Pending Jobs. Shows forecast.
• Scheduling shows what the schedule will look like given the Pending Jobs.
