Rick’s background encompasses more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, quality and engineering in the aerospace, defense, electronics, automotive, machine cutting, coin-op, and textile industries, as well as broad ERP and MRP expertise. He has been certified to NASA standards to instruct and teach Space Shuttle Soldering/Workmanship requirements. Rick has held many key management positions throughout his career, including Operations Management of automotive, industrial machine centers and electronic/ mechanical final assembly operation for FMD Electronics & Sundstrand Aviation; and Plant Site Management for the manufacture of electronic and electromechanical ordinance products at Alliant Tech Industries.

Some of Rick’s success stories include:

Strategic Inventory Management - Improvement for a $60M dollar stamping facility with two factories and at least three remote KanBan locations. Rick implemented wireless handheld devices to reduce transaction time that also improved inventory accuracy. This resulted in a savings of one man person per year, and allowing that person to work on true value added areas for the organization.<

Self Directed Work Cells - Identifying and empowering individuals in the creation of self directed work cells and managing the daily aspects of production plan, vs. the old mentality of working off the daily production hot list. Rick’s creation of self-directed work cells not only focused on the production plan but the complete Shop Order process in meeting the customers’ delivery promised date.
